Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis released on $1.5m bail

Public enemy number one has been released from a jail in Nevada.

No, not Osama bin Laden — Joe Francis.

Better turn the terror level up to orange.

On Monday, Joe Francis posted $1.5 million bail after languishing in a Reno, Nevada jail for 11 months on federal tax fraud charges. He stood to face charges in Pamama City, FL and opted for the relatively cushier digs in Nevada than brave Florida’s brutal correctional facilities.

With talks of a deal, Bay County lifted his no-bail arrest warrant in Florida.

Today, Francis appeared in a Panama City court and plead “no contest” to charges that he filmed underage girls for his Girls Gone Wild series. He was released based on time served during his recent time in Florida and Nevada jails.

Francis will be on probation and Girls Gone Wild is barred from filiming in Bay County for three years. The county will also return confiscated property including a Ferrari and $60,000 in cash.

Francis will be in court again to face federal tax evasion charges in Nevada at the end of the summer.

Vegan Strip Club Puts Meat on the Pole, Not On the Plate

Portland, Oregon now lays claim to the world’s first vegan strip club. Casa Diablo Gentleman’s Club is both vegan and the only smoke-free strip club in the city.

Patrons won’t find any meat, eggs or dairy on the menu, but there is plenty of pussy on the stage. Flesh-eating dancers are welcome to work at Club Diablo, but must adhere to a vegan dress code free of leather, fur, silk or wool.

ACLU: Sex in Public Restrooms is ‘Private’

The American Civil Liberties Union has thrown its support behind Idaho Sen. Larry Craig, arguing that people who have sex in public restrooms have a “reasonable expectation of privacy”.

Senator Craig was arrested on June 11, 2007 and accused of non-verbally inviting an undercover police officer to engage in a sex act in a Minnesota airport bathroom. Craig later plead guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct but is now asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to withdraw his plea.

The ACLU argued that even if Craig was inviting the officer to have sex, his actions wouldn’t be illegal.

“The government cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Senator Craig was inviting the undercover officer to engage in anything other than sexual intimacy that would not have called attention to itself in a closed stall in the public restroom,” the ACLU wrote in its brief. [read more]

For women, sexual enhancement comes as a topical gel, not a little blue pill. The University of Virginia is testing LibiGel, a testosterone boosting drug that has been found to increase women’s “satisfying sexual encounters” by 283%.

A drug that could do for women what Viagra has done for men is being tested at the University of Virginia. The drug is a testosterone-laden ointment called LibiGel and it’s intended to boost the libido of women who have lost interest in sex. It will be prescribed at U.Va. in coming months to women who are suffering from hypoactive sexual desire disorder.

Norman Mailer Wins Bad Sex in Fiction Award

Acclaimed woman-hater and occasional author Norman Mailer died earlier this month, but that didn’t stop him from being lampooned by the Literary Review for writing the worst literary sex scene of the year. “We’re not the freakish demons people make us out to be,” said Mark Kulkis, a porn movie producer who bought two $2,500 tickets to have dinner with President Bush at a fund-raiser, adding “I’m not a creep with a coke spoon around his neck.” Accompanying Kulkis was one of his stars, Mary Carey, who said she wants to run for President herself, noting, “I’m very friendly,” and explaining, “I kind of wanted to be a porn star. I wasn’t raped or abused.” Bristling at the suggestion that it might be less than appropriate for a porn queen to talk to the president, Carey said, “I probably have less sex with those guys than any college girl.” (Sources say she did not chat with the President.)

Well, I don’t think her comment was so silly. She probably does have less sex than any college girl — as long as those girls are the Bush twins.
